Canoe the Wild
Dave Conley has been paddling the waters of Maine and Canada for more than 25 years. Operating under the name, Canoe the Wild, Dave and his team of guides offer their guests fully-outfitted and guided canoe trips for paddlers of all levels, from the novice to seasoned paddler on trips of mostly three or more days in length. Each trip is built around the skill level, past experiences, and expectations of the party and can range from a leisure paddling trip to an advanced whitewater canoeing adventure. Most trips offer opportunities to fish while all trips provide opportunities to view and photograph nature and wildlife taken from the vantage point of the water.
Dave and his team of guides offer trips from trips from ice-out in May through the fall of the last Autumn leaves in October, Canoe the Wild is available for classic Maine outdoor experiences year round, but has a specific expertise in extended Maine Canoe trips and Guided Moose Hunts in the fall.
Canoe the Wild trips stand apart from most ordinary trips in the Maine woods because of the level of involvement and service guests receive. From basic paddling, safety instruction, and on-the-river and campsite skills building, to the incredible number of trips of various lengths available to guests including Maine trips along the St. Croix, Webster Stream, Baskahegan Stream, the Allagash and the East & West Branches of the Penobscot, to extended canoe trips north of the border in Quebec and the Yukon, Canoe the Wild does it all. And regardless of the skill level, from novice and first timers to seasoned paddlers, every trip with Canoe the Wild will offer a memorable experience, excellent meals, and the opportunity to enjoy the Maine woods and escape the distractions of modern life.
