Ever wonder what it might be like to ride on sled pulled by a team of dogs tracking through the deep Maine Woods? The Saddleback Winter Wanderings package offers that experience and a variety other ways to explore the spectacular landscape surrounding Maine’s Saddleback Mountain – including schussing down the mountain itself! And best yet, you can return each night to the cozy comfort of “home,” your very own trailside condominium.

Saddleback Maine is making quite a name for itself in the downhill skiing and snow boarding world with varied terrain for all skill levels. For those who want to “strap on the boards,” the Winter Wanderings package includes two full day lift tickets plus a one day pass to the nearby Rangeley Lakes Trail Center for cross country skiing (Nordic ski equipment rental also included).

The centerpiece of Saddleback’s Winter Wanderings package is a two hour dogsled ride provided by Rangeley Dog Sled Adventures. Note: “Motorheads” may substitute a half day on a snowmobile with the good folks from Rivers Edge, and for those who prefer their workouts indoors, the package includes a one day pass to the fitness room at the Rangeley Wellness Pavilion.

The Rangeley/Saddleback area offers a range of dining options, both on the mountain and in the lakeside village. Some blackout dates apply.
