Ultimate Hut-to-Hut Ski Package

Maine Huts & Trails offers a unique hut-to-hut ski tour experience.  Our groomed trail and well-equipped backcountry lodges provide an excellent family-friendly introduction to backcountry travel.

Our Ultimate Hut-to-Hut Ski package includes the following:

• 3 nights lodging
• 3 family style dinners
• 3 trail lunches
• 3 breakfasts
• Hot showers
• Gear shuttles between huts
• Vehicle shuttle from Poplar trail head to Flagstaff trail head
• 4 days of remarkable cross country skiing or snowshoeing

Itinerary and mileage:

• Day 1: Gauge Road to Poplar Stream Falls, 2.5 miles
• Day 2: Poplar Stream Falls to Flagstaff Lake Hut, 11.8 miles
• Day 3: Flagstaff Lake Hut to Grand Falls Hut, 12 miles
• Day 4: Grand Falls Hut to Flagstaff Lake Trailhead, 12 miles (Alternate itinerary for an 8-mile day available)

Cost:

• Adults –  $347 plus tax & $75 vehicle transfer fee (Vehicle transfer to be paid separately)
• Juniors (12 & under)  – $228 plus tax
• Note: These are sample packages based on a Saturday night as part of the package and based on non-member pricing. Rates will be lower for members and for mid-week only usage.

Equipment Rental Options:

• Cross country ski rental from Sugarloaf Outdoor Center, Carrabassett Valley – Adults pay $15 per day (Multi-day rate) Juniors pay $10 per day (multi-day rate)
• Snowshoe rental from Sugarloaf Outdoor Center, Carrabassett Valley – Adults pay $14 per day. Juniors pay $12 per day
